Teaching a small team to work with AI

The teams that get the most from AI are not the ones with the best prompts. They are the ones with the best habits. In our workshops, we spend less time on model features and more time on how to fit AI into a real working day.

Start with one use case that matters to the person using it. If a team member dreads writing weekly status emails, show them how to draft one in seconds. A single win is worth more than a theoretical overview of everything AI can do.

Next, build a shared prompt library. These do not need to be complex. A few well-tested prompts for common tasks — customer replies, job descriptions, meeting summaries — give everyone a running start and keep quality consistent.

Then create a feedback loop. What worked? What needed editing? Where did the output miss the mark? A five-minute weekly review turns individual experiments into team knowledge.

Finally, celebrate the time back. When someone finishes a two-hour task in twenty minutes, name it. Adoption accelerates when people feel the benefit, not just understand the possibility.
